I have put a closure to one part of my jc life, for myself at least.
I can move on now, although I will always be sorry for the mistake.
But it's been a good lesson for me.
Another closure is coming on friday.
The A's will be out at last.
I'm partly in hysterics, will probably become more hysterical and have a breakdown as the day draws near. Of course not in front of you, but just ignore please, I'm always like this when it comes to results day.
I was crying nonstop before the O's came out. I am an emo case see.
I don't think I'll blog about the results, it'll be too heart-breaking really.
Anyway the peast few days have been very interesting.
Monica has moved to my floor, and because she's sorta like PL in that she can talk to anybody because she's really ultra nice and friendly, made friends with the guy temp, and the next day when I came back to work invited us all to go for lunch together.
So I finally made friends with the guy temp.
Couldn't talk to him earlier, not for want of trying though, we were both always very nice and polite to each other, he kept on giving me sweets and I gave him chocolate, but it's impossible to talk in the office.
It's so freaking silent and I honestly don't dare talk much to anyone, not even Monica. I have three aunties watching me.
Maybe I'm thinking too much but I'm sure they note how often I go to the toilet too.
And in defence I really can't help it, the air-conditioning is so dehydrating, so I keep drinking water and consequently keep needing to pee. Plus I'm already conditioned to going to the loo average every three hours. Sometimes I think maybe I'm thin cos I pee out all the fats but nevermind.
Anyway everybody's friends now, and he's quite a nice guy, although something of a 20 year old ah pek.
Seriously the come the second conversation with him I was already feeling deja vu, he's like a mini version of my grandfather.
The very first lunch where we dapaoed from a mixed rice place at Adelphi and went up to the 8th floor to sit at the viewing gallery, when we later went down he lectured us from the 2nd floor all the way to the basement of funan centre against our Christian beliefs.
Second lunch he lectured us about the army and the state of Singapore's civil bureaucracy.
Third lunch which I didn't attend cos I ate with my mother, he seems to have chosen his cca life and politics as his topic for the day according to Monica.
Frankly I didn't understand anything much he was saying about the army, mostly because I'm very dense/blur so I kept missing out, but I did my best to look intelligent while going 'hah?' inside my head.
He also gave us lots of advice regarding uni, and in this nice-uncle way tried to console us that a's always turn out better than prelims. Well yes, but in TPJC the a's often turn out just like the prelims...
Anyway I am going to do my best to steer the conversation away from the army tomorrow.
But he's quite nice despite the ah pek manner (he is also a fan of Today newspaper by the way Yazzie), and they introduced me to Winpop, and we spent today winpoping each other to the detriment of our workload.

It's freaking hot!
Spent past two days doing new year visiting, surprisingly peaceful, lol.
Yesterday we visited CH's and Regina's houses, very fun.
We always used to go there for projects and hang out.
I forgot to bring my mandarin oranges though, oops oops.
Peisi and HK came, haven't seen them in a long time and we did lots of catching up =)
Peisi is still being a bamboo and growing taller! It's funny especially since last time she used to be one of the shortest girls in class, always sitting in the front row.
Learnt how to play mahjong too, wahaha. We always used the mahjong table to do homework or let Regina's hamster run around it so it was like the first time we used it for its actual function.
Wendi and I were trying to move all the tiles in a long row at one go like the experts and she kept toppling them! Need more practice haha.
After that we took pictures with lots of poses. Reminds me of the times we used to
take neoprints! We tried to do a 'kawaii' pose but it came out looking very
bad. Doesn't that say something!
Except maybe Jia right, since she has lots of practice! Lol. So we did a 'dao' one instead!
Tomorrow it's back to work. Monica has shifted to my office so maybe I won't fall asleep so much =)

7:57 PM
The guy temp sitting next to me in the office, his supervisor complained to the boss that he works too slowly...Cos he's the boss's cousin you see. Poor guy.
Apparently he photocopies like a snail. =/
So my mother came up to me and gave me this big warning: You Better Work Fast! Otherwise That Auntie Will Complain Too!
Ah ha ha.
Because in the office there are like two sections, one doing workshop stuff and the other handling application forms for lawyers. I help the application for side, and aunties are in charge of me.
One is the very nice, a bit blur type, on friday she worriedly asked me how come I didn't go collect my results.
The other is the auntie auntie kind.
And she's one stressed auntie.
She never stops scolding her children over the phone for ridiculous things like:
"Why you come home so late! What you been doing!"
And the clock only says 3.30pm.
"Why you never call me! I told you to call me right!"
"YOU GO AND DIE LAR!" Then when they call her:
"Why you call me for!! I very busy don't talk to you lar!"
Haiyo. Poor little kiddies.
I just have to record this because I feel so indignant on their behalf, having known what it's like to have a cranky parent.
Probably because of the cold air con, but my stomach never stops rumbling in the morning no matter how much I eat!!
Its freaking embarrassing, especially since the office is always so silent, and my stomach is so
loud. All these really weird liquid noises...
On friday met up with girlfriends =)
It is so great just to catch up wth you guys! Haha. Everybody's hair was different! (except maybe Wendi, lol)
We ate at Kenny Rogers which is seriously good food! 12.90 for such huge portions and wide variety of dishes.
Helped Wendi find clothes since she says she's clueless about shops. And yes she''s quite right, haha!
Went off with her to Far East again today to look for cheapo jeans.
Well Far East being monopolistic competition, every shop was selling it at 39.90. =/
And yes they were all non-differentiated products.
At least, one shop was differentiating itself by giving a 10% discount so we got her jeans there.
Anyway I totally admire these people like Wendi man, who can walk around wearing double layers. Like jeans for example and a long sleeved top, plus covered heels and hair draping all over the place. Or thick black skirt and black top with leg warmers and high cut boots (again with hair all over the place)
And then stride around Singapore. Granted that they are going to town and will spend 3/4 of their time in an air-conditioned mall, still it's so fatally hot outside. Can't imagine how they can take it! I'd be sweating like a pig.
Anyway this was a good week. =D

5:49 PM
Fell sick yesterday morning.
I think it was sleeping at 12.30 for 7 days in a row plus the artic air-conditioning at work that caused it!
Isn't it ridiculous, I have not felt hot for days ever since I started working at the supreme courts. Also since my house is very windy. So I am chilled through all the time, and yesterday legs were numb.
I start sneezing if I so much as wash my hands under cold water.
Made a friend Monica in the past week, who is really nice.
Thanks for the muffin, it was delish~ haha.
I have permed my hair.
Well now it needs a second perm because my 'virgin' locks are just too straight.
But what is worrying me is that my mother is going for a perm too after using me as the guinea pig...
I am going to look like her younger twin.
Oh, and that's not the worst yet.
My aunt has permed hair too, and now her daughter has re-permed hers so I heard.
So there will be four clones during this CNY.
